MISSION

1.) To act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information to
budding student entrepreneurs.

5.) To extend necessary guidance and exposure to the students To prepare a skilled workforce conduct for taking long/short term assignments of corporate/industry.

OBJECTIVES

1. Organizing Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programmers.
2. Organizing Guests Lecture, TV & Radio Talks, and Seminars etc.
3. Arranging visits to industries for prospective entrepreneurs.
4. Conducting survey for Industries.
5. Guiding and assisting students on various aspects such as preparing project reports, obtaining project approvals, loans and facilities from agencies of support systems and information on various technologies.
6. Extending necessary guidance to the trainees in obtaining approval and execution of their projects.
7. Conducting skill development training programmers leading to self/wage employment.
8. Providing testing, calibration, quality assurance, design, tool room, pilot plant and other facilities for Entrepreneurs besides expertise in Intellectual Property rights, Patents search, etc.
9. Providing Student Work Force to Industries and Institutions.
10. Providing students the professional and Industry exposure.

The cell would work on three levels:

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL

Women Empowerment Cell is designed to empower women socially, economically, politically and legally with a focus on promoting decision making. It conducts various activities and arranges Guest Lectures to accelerate the academic enhancement, leadership development and cultural enrichment in the lives of young women.

OBJECTIVES:

To improve the quality of life of women through transfer of knowledge and technology and to make the women empowered economically, socially, culturally and politically in order to make the fullest use of their potential to the growth of the nation.
To make students aware of Gender Equity.
To help students to change their mindset and attitudes towards life in terms of Women.
To encourage greater participation and to develop responsible and value oriented leadership in Female students.
Arranging lectures of highly qualified and successful Women.
Providing basic amenities for hygiene.
To create awareness of the Women’s Right and to empower Women.
To develop the self confidence of women
To promote intellectual and cultural activities for overall personality development of student.
To develop critical thinking ability of women students such that it enhances decision-making ability.
To enable women to make informed choices in areas like education, employment and health especially reproductive health.
To guide about women’s welfare laws.To develop multidisciplinary approach for the overall personality development.

ACTIVITIES

To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender. To organize awareness programs on gender sensitization. To Arrange seminars that creates awareness on the economic, social, political, and legal rights of women. To conduct seminars and workshop to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available and train the women. Organizing different activities to make women aware of their health, sports, self-defense etc., Conducting various competitions to encourage their artistic talents. Highlighting the importance of spirituality, health, hygiene and safety.

SC/ST Committee

Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) have been identified as the two most backward groups of Indian Society. They include all the castes, races or tribes, which have been socially, economically and educationally backward. The cell has been established to support and to bring students from such communities in the main stream.

The SC/ST cell of the college was established with the purpose, to empower the SC/ST students in the college. The college takes special interest in facilitating financial support to students from these communities from government agencies and other sources. They are also encouraged to enroll for career orientation programs, which would equip them with the necessary skills to choose a career option

OBJECTIVES

To counsel and guide SC/ ST students and help them to manage academic and personal issues of college life effectively.
To ensure provisions of an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
To provide prompt counseling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event at the campus.
To provide the mechanism to redress the grievance of SC/ST students, if any
To ensure protection and reservation as provided in the constitution of India.
To arrange for special opportunities to enhance the carrier growth
To aware the SC/ST students regarding various scholarships program of State Govt. and UGC.
To take such follow up measures to achieve the objectives and targets laid down by the Govt. of India and the UGC.

ACTIVITIES

To collect reports and information of State Govt. and UGC’s orders on various aspects of education, employment of SC/ST & OBC Students.
To circulate State Govt.and UGC’s decisions about different scholarship programs.
To communicate with the students and motivate them for better future planning.

OBC CELL

OBJECTIVES:

To ensure reservation norms in the admission of students and in the appointments of teaching and non-teaching staff.

To maintain social relationship among the admitted students in the college and resolve issues, grievances, representations etc.

Coordination of equal opportunity, welfare and other schemes including financial assistance from the government and UGC.

To council and guide OBC students about various issues and help them to manage academic activities.

To resolve problems related to OBC students.

To ensure provisions for an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.

To provide prompt counseling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any events at the campus.

To educate and empower the students and staff of OBC categories in the college to make use of the facilities extended by the Govt. and other agencies for their educational& occupational career.

INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE

The aim of the committee is to allow every woman employee to pursue her work in a safe and dignified environment and to protect women against any form of harassment or gender discrimination and to provide a means of redress should such cases arise.

To organize several programmes to enhance the confidence level of girl students for their empowerment in the society.

To counsel and solve the personal and academic related problems of Women.

To pay special attention on Safety and Security & exploitation related issues.

To bring about attitudinal and behavioral change in adolescent youth of the female gender.

To provide a working I living harassment free atmosphere by identifying and fixing responsibility on concerned persons for ensuring equal treatment of and participation by women in all areas.

To create awareness about women’s welfare laws and counseling

To prevent sexual harassment and to promote general well-being of female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of the College

OBJECTIVES:

• To ensure equal opportunities for education of minorities. • To facilitate financial support to students from these communities from Government agencies and other sources. • To make the minority students aware of the various scholarships schemes of the central and state governments. • To encourage these students to enroll for courses, workshops, programmes etc. which the college offers to students in an attempt to equip them with the skills needed for their careers. • To provide prompt counseling for any emotional emergencies arising on account of any event in the college campus. • To provide these students with a grievances redressal mechanism in addition to the regular redressal mechanism. • To be aware of the minority students regarding various scholarships programme of state and central Government.
